THE Artist

I use digital illustration, 3D modeling, and animation to tell stories that haven’t been told before and introduce personalities that exist in their own worlds. My work celebrates the media that makes up so much of today’s entertainment culture, but it also pushes the tropes and ideas that we’ve become so accustomed to in another direction. I want to entertain and amuse my audience, but I also want to lie to them and to trick them. My work engages the viewer in an honest way, one that doesn’t seek only to be easily absorbed. My characters delight, but they also unsettle. My animations tell a story, but nothing really happens. I hope to challenge my audience’s expectations of entertainment culture and, in doing so, change those expectations for the better.
